Hi all. My name is Gibbo and I have just registered. I am 6'1 and weigh about 92kg. I am lean and have a decent chest, back and shoulders but have very long skinny arms. Strength wise they are ok but I just can't seem to put any size on them. They are definately out of proportion to the rest of my body. I have very short bicep muscles too. I have been training on/off for about 12 years. Any advise would be really appreciated.

Hi Gibbo,

My stats are pretty much identical.
91kg right now at 6ft tall.
Very long arms too, 195cm armspan at 183cm tall.
Real short biceps too, it sucks.
Also been training on and off about 12 years too, many long breaks in that time too.

Only just got my arms up to 16 inches.
I think it's just a genetical thing.

All I can think of is to just add mass overall and the arms will improve too.

I'm wanting to get to 17 inches.

Hey Hulk and Shrek

Thanks for your replies guys. Yeah my arms are a good two inches longer than my height. I usually train one body part per day about four or five days per week. I am currently doing a full body power type workout which covers all muscle groups in one session and only requires three sessions per week. It is very intense and seems to be pretty effective.
A usual arm routine for me would be some thing like this.

Barbell Curls, 3 sets 12,10,8
Seated Alternate Dumbbell Curls, 3 sets 10,8,6
Preacher or cable curls, 3 Sets 10,8,6

Cable Push downs, 3 sets, 15,12,10
Skull Crushers, 3 sets, 12,10,8
Overhead dumbbell extensions, 3 sets 15,12,8

Then maybe some forearm work.

Pretty standard stuff I guess, have tried many excercise and training techniques, supersets, 21's etc but nothing really seems to work. I find my forearms get super pumped and find it hard to get a really strong contraction in my Biceps. Anyway, thanks for your feedback.

Why not try close grip bench press and dips?

They are the biggest triceps builders and tirceps are the biggest muscles in your arms.

Also, do you do any close grip chins on back day, they will work the biceps well.

Good luck.
