I have yet to buy a supermarket tomato that tastes anywhere near as good as home grown. I do cardio once a year, digging my small garden patch. About 3x2m. I buy a punnet of 6 plants in spring, put them in my little garden patch and that's it. Every week or so, once they get going, you need to go tie them up to your stakes so that they grow up, not out. Good news is that you use old stockings, so you gotta peel them off yer girl. Mmmmm. Two months later you got tomatoes that taste like they should.
Silverbeet is an even better no brainer. Mine self seed so no need to buy seedlings. Two or three plants will keep me in my morning greens year round.
I have apricot, orange, 2 apple, 2 feijoa and a guava bush. Almost zero work needed. Just gotta keep those rozella fukkers away.
Bottom line. It's taste and zero chemicals. You see those apricots in the supermarket that are evenly orange/yellow all over with no taste? That's not natural. Gotta be some bad chit goin' on dere.
