Fasting

Hey, is there any point in working out while fasting? Ie, weight training. Because its for one month, im scared I'll lose mass. If I do continue, I wont get any protein until a few hours after my workout (sunrise-sunset), and I think I'll be lifting pretty poorly without any carbs prior.
Help?

if you can re-arrange your workout to fit in with the times that you can eat , while you may lose a little mass but you will re-gain that in no time , eat while you can you will still have un-digested food so it shouldn't effect you too much. Keep in mind it takes a large meal up to 12-14 hours to fully digest

I would change focus to fat loss during this month instead of muscle gain and probably focus on more cardio. Just remember to count calories when you do eat.

Soon I will be having an operation and wont be able to excercise for a month so I will be focusing on diet and fat loss. At least I should get rid of the winter flab and get my 6 pack in a visiable state again.

Focus on more cardio? Are you for real? He will already be on greatly reduced calories so maintaining muscle will be hard enough and you want him to burn more doing cardio?

Just train as normal and train around the times when you can have a meal. I would shorten your workouts because your energy levels will be reduced.

Can I ask why you are fasting? Is it a religious thing?

I tried it today, I did everything with a lower weight but more reps, and I didnt feel all that bad. I can't access the gym at night time, as I dont have my P's yet, and my parents wont drop me. Im thinking I'll just do my workout at home for the next month, more pushup/pullup orientated.
And Shrek, yeah it is a religious thing =| I dont mind doing it, but kinda poses a problem while playing sport/gym
