Dermoabrasion, IPL - thoughts?

Has anyone tried dermo abrasion, and also IPL? (not together, one, other, or both at different times etc) Does it really give your skin a smooth baby bottom kind of result?

I have an age spot on my cheek and some fine lines on the top of my face that I would like to treat for vanity's sake, so am wondering if either of these techniques would prove to be of any benefit. :rolleyes:
 
I had micro-dermabrasion years back for scarring after a bad sunburn. Over the years I've had multiple lots of treatment. Worked a treat but now have to wear sunscreen overtime I go out.
It did remove some spots not all. Evened my skin tone.
