Hi guys im brand new to this

I just moved into my own house, im 19 and weigh 95kg but barely anyone can believe me.

I am wondering could I do my chest, arms, back, shoulders and legs workouts all with a set of dumbells olympic bar and weight bench? If so what exercises would they be? Dont have any money at the moment to by more gym equipment but looking to transform my body from now to footy season (April) any help would be much appreciated

Of course you can.
Things like back you can do rows, deads, find a beam or something somewhere and do pullups/chins.
Chest you can work with dumbells and the bench (flat/incline/decline press and flyes), find somewhere to do dips.
Arms and shoulders are easily done with either db or bb.
Some leg exercises may seem like a bit of a compromise, ie you'll have to clean the weight before you squat etc but its still possible. Lunges you can do with dbs.
Keep an eye out for a second hand rack and you'll be sweet.

G'day Oliver.. You've def. come to the right place and good on you for making a start.

As someone who doesn't train at home, I feel my advice may pale in comparison to some of the others on here...
BrisVegasGhost; kaz; Silverback; Darkoz; Brick; taurus; ... sure there's plenty more (and sorry if some of you guys don't train at home)

Hey bud!
I train at home and started with the bare essentials.
I learnt everything through Youtube or Google.....and ausbb!
Theres so many variations out there.

I trained at a gym for over 10 years
I now train at home and love it.
I have a power rack, adjustable incline/decline bench and flat bench.
7' Olympic bar, ezed bar, assorted weight plates and dumbells.
I found training at home I'm really adding strength as I am more concentrated on doing basic compound lifts.

Thanks lads, also quickly an easy and simple way to eat healthy would be like poached eggs for brekky and meat and veggies for lunch and tea??

Yeah mate, if you're looking to add mass?
Couple of eggs and toast or oats for breaky and around 200-300g of meat with some carbs like rice, pasta etc and some veggies a couple of times a day will have you on track.

Track your calories with an app like my fitness pal and see what intake it recommends for your goals and adjust from what you're currently consuming to get close. Track them for a while and you can fine tune as you feel necessary

Yes, I like poached eggs. Lots of 'em, maybe 5-6 for brekky - but mind the farts. Then feed like a ravenous caveman in lunch (I like to go up to 500g meat/seafood, with a salad or vegies). Go easier in dinner if you want to rest early though; I find it harder to sleep when the body is still trying to digest a shitload of food.

A good thread, and great suggestions.
Only buy what you need, the only thing I could add is buy plates as you progress, but stick with the number of rep's you've adopted ... by that I mean don't add rep's, add weight to the bar.

JUst a reminder mate that you have to set a goal and base your diet and exercise on that goal. :D Anyway as others have already said, with what you have you can surely train at home! :D Good luck!

If I had my time again if just get squat stand instead of a rack. Never had a squat I couldn't bail out of.

if you got no money, just join a gym it'll be cheaper I see some of them that advertise $6 a week. Plus for a young fella once you get over the initial awkwardness and become a regular it can become a social thing. Plus there are women there and although at 19 you'll be too scared to approach them you can use the memory of what they look like to fuel your wanks.

Excellent idea you can pick up a pair of stands- new for $90, and some women too.

For $90 bucks the women will usually be used and slightly damaged, but that shouldn't deter a keen young buck

The key-word here is "naughty", as I've stated many times; throughout the week, a young man should be sowing his wild oats, chopping down trees, digging holes, build a house, assist a women giving birth, skin a rabbit, do tough a workout, drink beer, help an old lady cross the street, protect the weak and above all - on the weekend pray for crop failure.

Leave the specialisation to the fucking insects, we are men.

This should be framed and hung on every man's bedroom wall

Simply put, do stuff, don't do the same shit week in week out, don't make one or two thing your focus in life.

Bodybiulding is but just one little tiny aspect of life
