Having just arrived back in Sydney after many years OS, I am looking to buy;
at least 155Kg's of olympic weight plates,
1 7 ft barbell,
and a pair of barbells with 2 pairs of spring collars to start off.
Would you mind sharing some advise on where a budget conscious person would purchase the set and for how much?
Ideally looking to spend as little as possible, without sacrificing safety.
Go with a 180kg set as you'll get to a 200 deadlift within a year easy. Get a 600kg rated bar - you pay an extra $50 for one that will last you forever.
Ask for something like this:
25 x 4
15 x 2
10 x 2
5 x 2
2.5 x 2
1.25 x 2
