Or you just go to the chemist and ask for it.
What gut issues you got that require this approach Noobs?
Intestinal epithelial hyperpermiability....
Inflamation, malabsorbtion.
But everyone could do with more methyl vitamins... If there are 2 things we need to be on track itas methylaiton and sulphation...
Oh "Leaky Gut". Possibly linked to my illness. But then again there are a thousand other theories along those lines...
Got those 2 symptoms (amongst others) to the nth degree and I've never considered the injections. Somehow I don't suffer from anemia though (rare with my severity of illness). I do eat a hell of a lot of red meat...
Have you noticed any improvements - especially with energy? I still suffer from lethargy unless I take stimulants.

I can send you a copy of this book if u want.
I don't MSN.
I go back to the specialist tomorrow and go on Imuran (another scarey medication). I hope this one works and I don't need it for long.
Between full time work, family and all the study I have to do, I'd love to be able read the book, but I never get time (oh yeah I gotta fit my workouts between all that too). So thanks for the offer, much appreciated, but probably a waste at this time.
you would be suprised.. that book has changed peoples lives more then some medication can...
I think it is well worth your while.
Just buy it and read it its 17$. Or i have it in pdf.
Problem is the more you look into those studies the mroe you are set with their lackof knowledge...
* It makes me realise there is so much study in this field to be done. They haven't even scratched the surface.
Lets look at it from an exercise point of view...
You get all excited and you go and learn to be a PT because you want to get your body right.. Suddenly you are learnign things that are backwards in terms of begginers...
I am not against drugs. I am against their missuse.
I am also against the "no known cure"
* In my case there is a known cure - surgery.
When that simply means there is no known DRUG that we can give you to make this go away...
* Thats why I am most interested in this as my main field of study. I agree 100%.
Pharmacology frustrates me... Common sense is out the window... The deeper you go into those studies the more you believe this too be true and the more you can see it.
* I think its less to do with common sense and more to do with who funds what and who can make money from it. I always look at the background of the study for this reason. But I have been surprised about some studies to do with cannabis and IBD, since you can't patent a naturally occuring plant. Some of these studies have been funded by companies with little to gain.
I am the biggest skeptic but i look at a few things 1. what works both for me and others...
The fact i am down to 75mg effexor from 250mg and no more diazapam.. Simply by removing my food intlerences and fixing my leaky gut all from reading books and studing "wacky hippy medicine" is amazing too me. I feel the best i have ever felt in my life and im not finished yet...
I know there is hope, and you have to realise that the authorities dont allways know best... Do you like cars? I do. I like drifting and i own a drift car..
Im not a mechenic but who knows more about setting up a car for drift a general mechenic or an avid drifter?
The establishment is that old set in its ways mechanic... I dont know if that analogy makes any sense to you i hope it does.
There is alot of info on eating for UC. I seirously reccomend that boog for a start... I think it may change your views on things.
* I'm pretty confident about my trigger foods. I've had years to narrow it down.
Are you currently taking sulfasalazine or just prednisone?
* I was on 9 capsules of Colazide daily, then had to add 50 mg of Prednisone and at its worse also added 2xColifoam nightly. As of earlier in the week on 25mg of Prednisone only and about to start on an unknown dosage of Imuran. After the amount of time I've been sick, if this doesn't work, then they can just cut it out of me.
Anyway i reccomend a weekly b12 shot and some cholecalciferol for starters...
