I think her abs are the worst bit personally. I've always found abs on women a bit off...they give me the willies.

Without going psycho nuts in your reaction, here's my best guess: to better bring out the definition in their mussels?
 
The point I was getting at is these guys REALLY look like tossers with their ridiculous overloading of the tanning oil, especially around the face. The whites of their eyes against the 'tan' of their face gives them the appearance of severely startled Al Jolson impersonators. I don't ever recall Arnie and the boys looking that idiotic.

The tan on the girl in the OP isn't quite as ridiculous as the blokes, but the second pic of her highlights to me the aesthetic appeal of not having a tan. I also think she looks a lot better without makeup. Woman with too much make-up = no class try-hard.
 
Amanda isn't gross. My god, the more I look at that second pic the more I get mesmerized. The legs, boobs, tummy, glasses, face, hair....everything's perfect. 11/10.
