5:20 diet revolution

was watching sunday night tonight , there was a segment on a new fad diet program called the 5:2 diet revolution

the theory behind sounded plausible , basically i was saying that you eat normally for 5 days and on 2 days you cut right back
theory behind it dates back to when we were caveman , the guy was saying that when we were caveman we feasted for days and then when the hunt was poor we went hungry for a day or two and the body learnt to adapt

Lol

I watched that....

Intermittent fasting gone paleotard!!!

Nothing wrong with 5:2 diet.... If it suits you....

Just another person's take on IF. More than one way to skin a cat, just have to find which one suits you and has the best effect

The 'unconstrained eating the other five days' is a bit of a concern though, particularly if you share any of Magda Szubanski's food loving genes!

The problem with any diet is discipline. Lots of diets work if you stick to them. Most people are slack and eat out of habit.

Tried it. Didn't like it. Didn't track intake on other days. Ended up eating too much haha.

Lol... If you watched it...

They went full paleotard to justify its efficacy...

Evidently all the animals and food sources hid for two days of every week each year...

So much stupid!!!

Just another "fad" way of eating - I guess if it fits your goals/time then worth a crack.

Cavemen also hunted and slaughtered their own food, didn't wear shoes, wore animal skins for clothing, washed twice a year with no soap and didn't live much past 30 or 40.
Maybe we should do that.

And I thought they are one large meal a day? Not X amount of calories for 5 days then lower calories for 2 - I am all for trying to new shit and everything has its place but take things for what they are - and just like bullet proof coffees etc is simply a fad - of course always worth a try but will never replace things that are tried and tested....
