I like doing 21's in preacher curls for a few workouts to up the intensity.* 21's are where you do*7 partial reps at the top, 7 partial reps in the bottom, and then finish with 7 full reps. All in one set.* You'll get one heck of a pump that will feel like your arms are going to explode if done properly.* After you feel like your arms are going to explode, why would you need to do another set?* I like to use a straight bar for preacher curls. The angle not super steep.* I don't like dumbbell preachers and I don't like the easy curl bar for them either.* Your reps need to be smooth and without acceleration at either the top or bottom. No bouncing either. Smooth and controlled reps are the ticket.* Try a set or two of preacher curls. Try 21's.* But, be ready to see some biceps improvement*provided you are doing some major pressing and pulling as part of your workouts.
