2014 Federal Budget

Yep, we should pretend money grows on trees.

A Grattan Institute report (April 2013) predicted that healthexpenditure would be the biggest contributor to a blowout in state and *federalbudget deficits by 2023 due primarily to an ageing population (Daley 2013).

John Deeble, the health economist who advised both the Whitlam and Hawke governments on universal healthcare (Medibank and Medicare), also indicated that the states were shouldering too much of the burden of health funding, and private health insurance could help to solve the problem through subsidies to aid private health as long as it made more “comprehensive and stay *comprehensive”. Deeble declared “I don’t see how you are going to solve the problem in an equitable way unless you make some very nastydecisions” (Heath 2013).

In the meantime, Labor rather than offering its own ideas about how to address costs and encourage equity, just relies on Abbott breaking promises.

Headley, answers for Aust are tough, but more of the same is not a viable solution.

There will be cuts, under both major parties.

Key is how we all ensure system remains viable and fair.

Rudd did it back in 07... but yeah since then... Gillard's Nek Minnit carbon tax speach is epic but abbott is an order of magnitude worse
 
Really? 80 billion dollars less to states Vs carbon tax? That will affect so many more people than the carbon tax

abbotts biggest problem was that he went on the rampage about the pre - election lies that labor said compared to what they did , in this years pre election they came out swinging saying no changes to this and that , gets into power and does changes to this and that that he promised , when he promised that there wouldn't be any changes

so the big uproar is that he cracked the shits that one party lied , then said he wouldn't lie , but ends up lying , oh wait there is core promises and core promises

end of the day they are all a bunch of pricks who only look after their own self interest
 
Yeah mate. I'm all for anyone wanting to forge a career and go onto higher education.

It's seems like theres a group at every uni though who think its cool to run around in hemp phucking sandals staging a protest for shit that doesn't even concern them sometimes.
