this question has long interested me given my weak legs. My thoughts have also been pricked by the recent thread concerning 'the appearance of strength'.
And don't get me wrong; I think the squat is one of the great exercises.
But from a non-lifting perspective, especially for individuals who...

Every now and again we see some skinny dude lift considerable weight.
Dr Squat nicknamed didley asked to be tested on an experimental (at the time) leg machine to test the static strength of the quads at certain angles to measure force.
at the time he held the record for the squat near 500kg...

How do you train your traps (upper, middle, lower fibers), and with what volume and frequency?
What do you do when you realize your traps are lagging behind?

To quote a competitive lifter from my facebook feed today: "that forum is the bottom of the barrel."
If the powerlifting section is to ever draw competitive lifters then it needs legitimate and serious discussion about the sport. This is what it needs, not a bunch of non-competitive idiots...

Hey guys,
I had to notice something: compared to most of you I am out of the "healthy balance" of the performance of the 3 lifts.
I can bench 140kg but I can only squat 160kg and dead lift 200kg (@90kg BW). It shows me that I am piss weak on the lower part of my body (as well).
Is there any...

Fantastic article. Lots of people think it's a weak posterior chain for some reason but as I keep insisting, ALL QUADS
Do you guys remember your first week in the gym and can you remember how weak/strong you were. We're always chasing that extra rep and that extra weight when we're training now and often forget how strong we are compared to what we were before we took up this lifestyle.
I know that what I am about to write will piss some people off, but I’m an old man, 66, and don’t have anything to lose.
I also know that many people will disagree with what I am about to say and it is certainly their right to disagree.
What I have to say is only one man’s opinion, but it’s...
Just a friendly reminder that unless you're lifting heavy 5 days of the week, you have no business having a light day and that you're a pussy for doing so.

Just recently tested my squat and deadlift. My deadlift is at 257.5kg and my squat is at 165kg.
I'm now on week 4 of sheiko routine 29, is my squat going to even out with my deadlift? Any additional exercises you would recomend?
I'm 98kg and tall
Guys, I have struggled for ages with this but i have severly weak abdominal and core muscles.
I am looking for some ab exercises to help me out with
A.Building some abs
B.Getting an over all stronger core, which will hopefully in turn benefit me in all other areas.
I asked a couple of weeks...
Just wondering, I seem to be only really gaining on my arms and delts. My core is shit, shit chest, shit lats, shit stomach, and shit back. What sort of exercise routine should I do to fix this problem? Like how often should i exercise, and what exercises, and which parts of my core on which...
I've had weak wrists for quite a while (while i used to do gymanstics). Recently i started to do gymnastics again in an effort to help lose some weight. is there anything else I can do to make them stronger?
I don't know if it is muscles or joints that cause wrists to be weak
