The direct answer is no they're not for the weak, unless you consider some of the world's strongest men weak!
When you're lifting really heavy (relative to you) for repetitions, or you're holding a weight statically momentarily before moving it (such in a halting deadlift position with a...
A couple month before Christmas I started to lift again and for once sticking to it. Anyway I had noticed my bicep felt dull and achy and after a look around on google it seems the deadlift is more than likely the issue.
As most people the overhand grip works to a point and then people us the...

Hey all,
Something I've never really used before are lifting straps or wrist supports. Is there a combination of both?
I've seen Jay Cutler using them on his snapchat, and they seem pretty decent.
More the point practical when it comes to safe guarding my wrists and dainty white palms.
I'm not...

Hi All,
My trainer has me currently doing high-volume to bring up my work capacity and to burn off the fat.
However with deadlifts my forearms and grip is running out of steam halfway through the sets.
I know I have other options but:
1. I don't like alternating grip due to some imbalances, a...

I want to start doing more rack pulls, but having had a fair break from gym, my grip strength gives out before my back/ posteria chain.
i find I can hold the bar ok up to about 140-160kgs, but going beyond that my grip gives out, but I feel my back could go heavier.
i intend to keep lifting...
Sorinex Safety Straps.
The pack consists of:
4x Hitch Pins,
4x Super Strong Carabiners,
2x 4ft Safety Utility Straps,
2x 6ft Safety Utility Straps (brand new, never used).
The Sorinex safety pack is the original and still the best safety strap pack available.
These are now copied by Iron...
Preferably not too expensive (not sure how much I'll ever use them!) and/or with low cost shipping (so from Australia, or maybe from Amazon, say...)
Just has to hold up to increasingly heavy shrugs, maybe some other pulls if/when I need them for that, and I might use them for front squats, if I...
Who uses them?
Tried them for the first time yesterday for shrugs, was fucking awesome. Could lift a LOT heavier than usual, and traps are killing me this morning. I'm thinking this might actually beef up my traps considerably (they are woefully small and out of proportion at the moment)...
