Years ago I didnt have a squat rack when I first started training in my garage my old man taught me the barbell hack squat until I could clean and press a decent load to squat they where my main devolpers. Any way today I started off with deads instead of squats and it clicked to hack the load...
I prefer db's for symmetry purposes and more freedom. I don't feel as locked in a lot of movements. Barbells come in handy on heavy rows, deadlifts squats ect but I feel you carry over more strength to barbells from dumbells rather than barbells to dumbells.

I really like the barbell curl, I like using it as a finisher, the standing barbell curl works a lot of muscle if worked hard.

I am looking at possibly buying one of these. It is the black oxide G2 marketed as a crossfit barbell. I will get it at about 25% of the retail price.

I have always struggled with Front squat "lack of" mobility in the shoulders and wrists, so instead of using a barbell, I had to use Kettlebells as demonstrated in the below video (Crossfit days), are KB Front squats any different to BB squats?
