    I don't think you are a powerlifter until you compete. Before that you are training for strength. You could say you train for powerlifting, but that doesnt make you a powerlifter.

    No breakfast generally, as i'm a fatty trying to make a weight class because i am retarded. Then after weigh in fluids, candy, caffeine. Cheesy bread worked well to settle my gut from nerves/influx of food.

    Transitioning to Sumo

    I started with Sumo on a different day to conventional, lighter weights. After about two months, i was exceeding my conventional and eventually conventional dropped off completely. I was always a lot less beat up after sumo compared to conventional which was my main reason for the transition.

    Do not bother with a weight cut for your first meet. You aren't going to win anyway.
