What size are you?? I have one that I used about 5-6 times. Don't compete anymore so don't need it. I think mine is a large (I was a 90kg lifter @ 186cm). Also have a size 44 centurian squat suit too, really good condition. So much so that I never hit depth with the legs down.

Mate it's a good place with good people. If you are a powerlifter you'll love it (chains, boards, bands & stuff). If you just want to lift it's still really good. Lots of racks so you never have to wait. Check it out it's worth it.

    [Article] Shoulder Health

So true. My little girl has great squat technique. Never taught just starts like that. I just need to make sure it stays like that;)

    [Article] Shoulder Health

The big difference is in the bench your scapulars are trapped on the bench and can't move like they need to. With overhead (strict if you want) they are able to move freely and do the job they are supposed to. That is why there are more bench injuries than overhead. I can strict press 95kg and...

    [Article] Shoulder Health

I do agree with Riptoe on this. I wrecked my shoulders benching. Had so many issues after, but since only overhead pressing and working upper back I have no issues and now push press way more than I benched. I think benching restricts the movement of your scapulars from laying on the bench and...

Time to create a proper strength gym in adelaide.

You are very spot on. To be honest it doesn't matter if the guy had 1kg on the bar, he paid his money and he has every right to use anything there. James, Just forget about things, just train hard and control things you can control. Life is easier and less frustrating that way;)

Time to create a proper strength gym in adelaide.

Hey James didn't realise that was you. I understand what you mean about people like that. It's more the waisting time that bugs me not how much they lift. We all started somewhere. But it's simple to just ask to work in. I haven't met one person who has ever refused that. It's a little more...

Time to create a proper strength gym in adelaide.

Firstly the idea sounds good. But however; I don't know where people in Adelaide (more so on this forum) get the idea that there aren't places to lift and get strong in Adelaide. I have only just got a membership after having to pack up my home gym (moving) and went to Fortus (the old CBD)...

    Qualifying totals for CAPO Nats

Must have changed recently. I looked early last year and it was wraps. I noticed it references the WPC rulebbok now, not their own like last time. Must be 30kg for the high squats then;)

    Qualifying totals for CAPO Nats

CAPO raw is knee wraps on squat. PA is only neoprene knee sleeves. A good wrap can add 30kg so that could be the difference I suppose.

Power Lifting Adelaide - Inaugural Deadlift

I wouldn't call PA's actions bullshit. Maybe you should understand that PA gets a little goverment funding, and as part of that they need to adhere to WADA's drug testing. That is where the lifting in non-drug tested meets and bans come from. They are trying to protect the little money they...

Power Lifting Adelaide - Inaugural Deadlift

Well I train at Fortus Gym in the city these days (home gym closed due to moving), and there are a few powerlifters there (more just started). But more importantly there are 5 power racks, elieko plates, comp speck bench (ER Bench), SSB bars, glut ham machine, bands and chalk. What more could a...
