One day i won't be injured

I was thinking as I was sitting in the physio earlier that even though we may get injurrd, people fuck themselves picking up pencils and doing everyday tasks, I guess bodies are just fragile and I'd rather hurt myself doing what I enjoy doing then fucking my back picking clothes up off the floor...

    Is it to much?

where are you at with your training? how long have you been training and what are your majors lifts at? There's no point doing that many sets/reps and there's no point making your own routine if you don't have a base to work off. This is assuming you are still new to lifting? If so i'd look at...

One day i won't be injured

Yeah it's hard to get over that voice in your head that says just keep pushing, even when you know it's a bad idea. Worst thing is when professionals cant tell you whats wrong or they give you the wrong diagnosis (happened with my shoulder) first physio thought it was a trap strain, i figured...

One day i won't be injured

yeah sounds about right. well i guess we have different opinions on foam rollers lol. I will agree with pushing through the pain to a certain extent.. but you have to know when to stop pushing, and i guess you can only learn where that threshold is once you have been injured :P.

    Back problems need a belt

seems like a bit of a cop out - sure use a belt when going really heavy, but it'd be much more beneficial to build up strength in your back without the belt imo. Also look at finding the reason for the bad back if you haven't already? if due to poor posture, work towards improving that to...

One day i won't be injured

injuries are so frustrating, but i guess they are just part of the game... probably been lifting for a year and a half and half that time has been spent with one injury or another, first was an upper back strain which was made worse because i stopped everything and didn't keep active. Second...

    Beginners program

one last question in regards to this program, are all 3 workouts per week as heavy as you can? or is it more of a heavy/medium/light day setup because ive seen the same (similar program) used but with heavy/med/light days. or is it more of a listen to your body thing? And do you just bump up...

Fat Guy Wanting to Get Fit

although new to the forum i have some recent experience with losing weight and pretty much what you're going through, injury etc... Beginners program

Yeah I do, might substitute the overhead in the program for some face pulls (injury is caused by weak rear delts and posture, which I'm working on) and some incline dumbbell prress? Sound like an alright plan?

    Beginners program

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like i'm the opposite i can do dips and bench but whenever i try to go overhead, i get instant pain. Maybe i'll add some dips to substitute for the overhead work. Yeah my plan was to play it by ear and see how my body takes it. Just thought i would double check...
