    The Life of a bodybuilder

Yes they do work...... but not my bag. I have always been able to hang with the big boys without em. Workouts, poundages etc 20 1/4 inch arms when I was about 30. Was one of the big boys at our gym. We all had respect but I had a little more. The guys were convinced I was on em but just...

when is it ok to grunt?

LOL I agree Fadi, grunting is believable when maxing out and it's true you ain't no Sharipova.:p I never take it seriously. If it happens it happens. When my kid was a little tot she would grunt for me when ever I was squatting. It's all fun. Just don't scream and throw weights around...

    The Life of a bodybuilder

Just like "Over The Edge" David Shaw ( Alias / Aussie ) It can be annoying watching the newbies grow FAST. Back in the 1990s I owned a pair of rusty 140 Lb dumbells on the floor under the dumbell rack at out gym. Nobody would touch them. Once a week I would bench them. There was a skinny kid...

Anyways.... WD 40 should get it on the move real nice. I train alone and have used the smith for inclines for 20 years now. Best way to do em without a spotter. Sometimes for squats but I am an old pre exhaustion HIT trainer so no need for ego poundages. Above all have fun in the iron. Lots...

How to service a Smith machine with linear bearings

Hi mate, They never wear out. I have had mine for 20 years. I had some motorcycle chain lube in the shed so I used that but it made the thing drag, then I sprayed WD 40 on it. So now I have a special combo. LOL I use chain lube and track it all the way up and down then i spray wd 40 and roll...

I actually just eat rice at lunch on workout day with a dash of skim milk. Like cereal or porridge. Makes me a tad stonger than when I dont have it. No placebo. Just fact for some reason. Rice = lift up and volume capacity up :)

    Yet another comeback. Hey Gang!

Hey gang, Long time no see. Major life stress and melt down have had me out of action since late 2009. Time to grow some muscles. Once again I am at genetic base levels. Complete sedentary base levels. Nothing since I was talking crap and hassling lifters for overtraining last year. BUT I...

    Teaching Kids...... :(

Thanks Kyle Aaron, In the end it all points to pencil pushers and suits making all the big calls. Calls made from behind a desk. The way of the world. The weightlifting argument won't stick as it's a far cry from a little bit of daily physical fitness done for 10 mins in the morning before...

    Teaching Kids...... :(

Thanks to you guys I have recovered from my week of hell and mental torture. As for having muscles. The Australian education system has ensured that our kids will grow up without ever really having direct experiences which allow for actual physical awareness of their own capacity for movement...

Man I would pick my clients with care. After what I have been through this week..... You would think that common sense would prevail. Problem is intellectuals have none. These are the people who we answer to. It's all concepts and quotations from documents. No lived experience at all...
