    That makes sense. No one is at an advantage/disadvantage if we're all using the same stuff. Do international feds use something similar to the bar we used on the weekend or standard bars? Also, how does the stiffer 25kg bar affect the squat? I've never felt a standard bar whip in the squat...

    I'm just guessing here but if the bar flex's more it will be slightly easier for the first cm or two off the ground? It might have been a bit thinner too. It was definitely longer, I'd guess so you can fit more weight on. BTW you're Alex right? Nice lifts on the weekend, were you an o-lifter...

    Missing a Lift

    Maybe instead of focussing on the missed lift you should focus on what you did wrong with your recovery. Fix that. And don't worry about one miss, you're not going to PR every session and that's ok.

    I've missed plenty of lifts. I usually know if my recovery was good enough, so my misses come from either genuine stalls or me being too pigheaded to just drop the weight for a session.     I've got Do Wins and my training partner has one's from Underground Elite which I think are similar to QWA's. Do Wins have a lower heel, QWA's have an extra metatarsal strap. Both have the same lining on the bottom. Neither look like they will fall apart any time soon and they both do fine...

    ^ Hundreds of skinny guys have gotten huge. It's probably more to do with marketing than what he's accomplished. Anyone cat get that big especially on juice. I will admit that staying that lean is much harder to do though.
