I have never said or claimed to be an expert. T-nation has a lot of people who fit the class of 'expert' writing for them, so the information on there most certainly has merit. Some very good points have been raised in this thread and I have taken them on board. So how does that apply to...

Minh - I have been following another 67.5kg lifter of similar age and height in the states on youtube for years, you probably know him, tigerak02 - http://www.youtube.com/user/tigerak02 Look at his lifts below, his equipped squat is phenominal, but his raw squat with no belt (like mine), is...

Minh, I'm not taking it as an insult, I'm just not sold on the advice and opinion you are giving me. Therefor I'm questioning you on it to try and understand better. I have spent hours reading articles on TNATION about squatting. I have also spent hours squatting. From my own trials, I know...

Yes, I am actually a lot looser on 20 rep squats because the weight is not really that heavy...which is why I can do 20 reps with it. With that said, it is most definitely something I should work on and doing so might see me repping out to 30... Well clearly it does, I have never done a PB...

No not really. Have you even watched the video? I have no issue with utilising the SCC as you can clearly see I have no trouble getting out the hole. The problem is halfway up which is a long way past the rebound point at the bottom...... YouTube - ProRawOne, Ghosty squats 137.5kg@68kg

So it was a grinder (with good form), because I wasn't "tight", not because it's an all time personal best lift and the most weight I've ever squatted? Sorry Minh you'll need to explain to me more because I'm not buying it. Before the descent I clearly took a deep breath into my belly and...

My 1RM’s have only increased by a few kilo’s in the last few years because I have only been doing maintenance training. A bit of background on myself - I was working 2 full time physical jobs ~70hr weeks (allowed me to spend close to $80k on cars in the last 4 years), didn’t leave much left...

Nick, if I wasn't injured and I could train for 1RM strength, and I added a measly 12.5kg to my deadlift, which would then bring me up to a 400lb deadlift, and put me in 200/300/400 club, how would ANYTHING I've written change? My views would still be the same. Let's take drifting for example...

What plan? There was no plan. Don't you get it? I have NEVER followed a lifting routine, EVER. I do what I feel like when I feel like, that's what I enjoy about lifting. Sometimes I train 2 weeks non-stop, othertimes I train once every 3 months.

Nick's story is one of the most impressive I have seen, especially where he started to where he is now, and what he overcame to get there. He can tell it if he wants :)
