How important is a good spotter to your workout?

Why would you need a spotter for squats. Wouldn't you just bail into the safeties on your rack? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What's your favourite place to buy supplements?

With fish oils you also need to look out for the content as I've seen everything from 250mg to 1000+mg per tablet concentration. This will make a big difference when trying to work out what is cheaper for actual fish oil content Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Help me pick a bench.....

I've got the muscle motion super FID bench which I believe is rated to 350kg. Has been really solid for the last few months. Possible downsides are the width being only 250mm and it's also higher than the standard bench height if that matters to you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Are athletes built or born?

The way I see things your genetics determine your potential ability and hard work determines how close you get to that potential, so in the middle ground there will be a bit of a mix but at the elite level it's really only the genetically gifted that he there. As a practical example how many...

    Help with overhead press

Alright so to answer a few questions Why 11 reps? The program I'm on has a self regulating progression which starts at 12 reps adding weight each week then when you can't do that anymore drop the weight 10% and do the same with 11 reps adding weight each week until you can't do 11 reps any...

    Help with overhead press

Just wanting to get some opinions on an issue I'm having on ohp. Currently I'm doing 3x11 ohp at 35kg. Rest is 2-2.5 minutes between sets. The first 2 sets are always fine, no real issues with the last rep on the 2nd set requiring a little effort, yet on the third set I'm struggling by rep 4-6...

    Opinions on giant sets

Giant sets is taking 3 or more exercises and doing one set of each without rest. As an example I work lying tricep extensions x12 reps, leg curl x12 reps, dumbbell curls x11 reps into a single giant set without rest between each exercise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Opinions on giant sets

Hi all, Anyone here using giant sets in there training? I've been working them into my training over the past 3 weeks and find them great for cutting down on workout time. Mainly as a way to get through accessory work after the compound lifts. Any other opinions or experience with them? Would...

    Micro loading dumbells

Wow, what can I say, you guys are awesome. So in an attempt to pull this thread back on track it seems to be that the mains views are as follows - go for micro loading, slow and steady progression will add up overtime - don't bother micro loading, vary rep ranges and sets as the weight goes...

    Micro loading dumbells

Hi all, I've got a standard adjustable dumbell set where the smallest increase is 2.5kg per dumbell (1.25 plate a side). What I wanted to ask is do any of you do anything to allow for smaller increases in weight such as unevenly loading the dumbell or micro loading with smaller weights? Or...

    request for info

While not directly related to safe steroid use. You should probably also look into body dismorphic disorder or body dismorphia. If your aim is to minimise usage, addressing the behavioural aspects could be helpful. I'm not saying that everyone will fit the 1-2% that can actually be diagnosed...

    Training plan review

HLM is heavy light medium. On your heavy day you try to add weight from your last heavy day and do 5 reps. On your light day you drop the weight to 80% of your heavy day aim aim for as many reps as possible short of failure. On your medium day you do the same as the light day with a weight that...
