throwing sports and the effects musculature development

Say goodbye to a balanced body, as the dominant arm/side will develop more than the dormant side. Unless it's a 2 armed throw.

How much can you do in a week?

Everyones different, different personalities makes us all do things different to others. Some stay safe and some like extremes. Otherwise, the world would be a pretty boring place.

    Beginners program

I've heard this referred to a few times here. But what does it really mean? Could the hamstring curl be the equivalent exercise for knee health?

How much can you do in a week?

Personally, my opinion only, would be not to over do it and smash yourself. I would rather do less, than more in a week off. If you do train everyday when you're not used to it, it's going to put everything out of balance when you resume your normal schedule, you may be extra tired from the...

Custom Fabrication for pullup bars in Aus?

Yeah, just use 15mm of non-compressible packers on each end of the pull up bar bracket and bolt in tight. You would most likely have to replace the existing pull up bar, as it would simply get in the way if you have both attached, as you want it near the front of the rack.

What's the internal dimension between the top rails? If it's 1100mm or close to, the MMPR Muscle Motion multi grip bar will fit - $45.

    Force USA F-PC Power Rack

Personally, I'd focus more on these points when choosing a power rack: Sectional sizes of steel tubing, ie, 50mm x 50mm, 60mm x 60mm, 75mm x 75mm, 100mm x 50mm, etc The thickness/guage of the steel used The general construction of the rack - I like to see strong connection points, the bigger...

    Modern Manhood Challenge

I was thinking of doing this challenge...but then came to my senses. Maybe this workout should be timed? That way, you can measure workload completed vs time. One persons slow set of 50 deads might be alot easier than someone who does it in 3 sets, but at a faster rate.

    Buying NYBB Jhooks from australia?

The main problem there is because of the bench. I just tested this bench - http://www.gymdirect.com.au/item/ASFID-Super-FID-Bench/467.htm in the MMPR rack for inclines and there is no reaching back required, even a couple inches left to move the bench right back to the rear crossbeam. The...

    Weight Training Program

Something seems not right there. You've been training properly for 2 years. You are a big guy, and say you're fit. But your lifts are quite low. When you train, do you train with intensity and push yourself to improve every workout? Are you able to increase your weights, or are you failing on...

    newbie home gym setup

Hi Ben, No problem putting the base of the rack touching the back wall. This will then make the front face of the rear posts 380mm from the wall. when you add the radius of the barbell shaft, this gives you 400mm distance from the axis of the barbell to the back wall + 20mm if you have...
