I really don't think you can go into these comps thinking you'll get a placing. Sure, it's nice to be positive but you must be realistic with your expectations of what the judges are looking for. For the most part, there are people competing with perfect genetics, bone structure, height and...
Mate, it's all a bit of a blur these days and I know if I did it again, it'd be very different. I was guided by a mate who'd done quite well in the comp scene so it was a steep learning curve for me with no real understanding of what I was doing at the time. I know I gave myself 12weeks and...
I did two comps within a couple of weeks of each other about 10yrs ago. I am glad I did them and very proud of the effort I had to put in to get into the required condition, it was by far the most I'd ever pushed my body. However,I have no interest competing again as I found the comp prep...
A fiend of mine as bursitis in her hip and it causes a a great deal of pain and discomfort, mostly when trying to sleep. Unfortunately, the best treatment is actually doing nothing to aggravate it further. Anti inflamatories and steriods, as the Dr suggested, is the most common treatment...
A few things, based on my own personal experiences..
1) The scan report you first posted is typical of someone who performs a heavy manual labour job. Most people in such situations are a ticking time bomb for a lower back injury, they just don't know it yet.
2) Workers Comp is fucked...
Fast and Furious 6
Action packed with ultra hot fems and mega muscled guys and some of the best driving scenes/effects ever. Somehow, they managed to have even better cars than last time.
There was some very witty and sometimes cheesy dialogue along the way which really adds to the...
I laughed so hard when I heard the news. I think it proves, deep down, Eddie thinks the whole thing was a big joke from the start. And fair enough, it is.
This 'mole' thread had the potential to be so much better :(
PS: A skin cancer clinic doctor will be able to slice and dice where required, but mostly is it's actually needed. Unnecessary surgery might be a private hospital/doctor issue.
The elliptical trainer would be perfect for bad knees.
A few sets of KB cleans will send your heart rate through the roof. In fact, almost any kettle bell exercise will do just that.
Good mate. started doing that 400m run / weights interval training again you recommend. Had my first session yesterday and feeling a little sore now haha. I'm a lottle bored with typical weight training so this is a great way to spice things up, in a sadistic kind of way :)
Hey mate, good to see you're slowly getting better. It's funny how just when you think it's good to let the brakes off, a decent niggle reminds you to put the brakes back on. Frustrating as hell but a good reminder for the long term.
With all the cycling, are you getting tight hip flexors that...
For me, any residual back pain niggles subsided around the 6th month post op mark. Took about 12 months before all sciatic leg pain went away. From my experiences, it's a very slow healing injury that needs lots of time, rest and patience.
Are there any other symptoms like tingling, numbness, swelling, loss of ROM, Intermittent or constant pain, what movements or motions aggravate it?
If so, I suggest getting a scan done, preferably MRI.
With form like that, his heavy lifting days a very numbered. And when his spine does give out, he'll be to ignorant to realise the real cause.
You don't need a long neck to be a goose.
