    Quite simply by feel, and by following a well structured program like Sheiko / Cube / Smolov etc. When powerlifting is concerned you are going to feel beat up regardless, time under the bar will tell you when you're ready or not ready for that workout. But as you said, you set a PB on a day...

    Compared to the average gym rat yes, compared to my peers of similar height / weight / training time not at all. Have spent too much time cutting from epic bulks instead of just maintaining weight and gaining strength, it will be different this year!

    Yep god damn the shaking afterwards, I remember sitting in science class in college and just shaking uncontrollably due to activating muscle fibres my fat ass didn't know existed.

    More endurance definitely, I've been taking pre workouts / BCAA's for a few years now, as others have said I generally don't need them but I'm finding as I enter the later weeks in my heavy 10 week training cycle no matter how rested / fed / recovered I am getting through 10+ sets of deadlifts...

    For me I tend to lose energy half way through, especially following a gruelling powerlifting routine. I have recently been taking PRE 101 and BCAA's again and find I don't hit the wall as easily on my 12th set of squats / deadlifts. If you don't need them, then get out of the thread you hard...

    Macros depending, but yes I agree would always try and keep the whole eggs and cut fat out of another meal.
