    2nd Week?

    well it's not a bodybuilding programme and I'm doing the 3 lifts in a Heavy/lite split ie:90% heavy and 50% speed setup with 72 hours between the same lift. what would you call that? If it's not a powerlifting programme, please point to one as I have been asking for ideas. Thanks

    Hi all, me again Tomorrow will be the start of my 2nd week of a Power lifting programme. Do I up my 90% by 1.25kg from last week? as I will not be testing my 1RM For a couple of months, I assume that's the whole idea and the only way to improve? Thanks

    Ok, I have finished my first week was buggered early on in the week even though my volume is less, the 10 sets @ 90% really buggered me. Mentally it's a bit of a struggle as I don't think I have done enough.

    OK Yes that may have been a generalised statement on my behalf, but the ones I know of http://web.stagram.com/n/misslifty/ Bench 200, the whole reason was apart from the BIG names of the sport, I know of a guy (OLY lifter) who does not bench much if at all and weighs I dare say 90kg and benches...

    What I am getting at is that the Xplosive day in a powerlifting programme is to activate the fast twitch fibers which develop strength? I was using OLY lifting as an example, they are XPLOSIVE in nature yet are extremely strong in areas where they don't train.

    young guy comes in throws a couple of plates on and straight into it and that's his warmup, then proceeds to add on .5 or 1kg increments and grunts and groans does a few sets and goes.
