    i dont think you should be quick to dismiss the use of straps. if your grip is good, there is no reason not to use them so that you can get more out of the exercise. not using them could be worse for your training.

    yeh its Markos program and i think it has too much volume. its fine for beginners who squat 60kg and bench 40kg. but its harder to recover from 3x10 at 100 than it is at 60kg. just my preference. and starting strength is 3x5 mon/wed/fri. starting strength adv is monday 3x5/wed 2x5 with 80%...

    i posted in your journal but ill also post here. i think the routine has too much volume. cut squats to 3x5 and kept adding weight each session. the first 1-2 weeks wont be too challenging but it will prepare you for when your doing 130+ for 3x5.

    focus on getting your elbows high. its probably not a wrist problem. more of a tight lat/tricep problem. use cross grip only when you have too.

    good luck amac. it will make your bench soar. i would do 37 reduced volume (pretty much minus two working sets.) then a full 37. i dont really like 29. you can find a reduced volume program on the net somewhere.
