the what u saw at the gym TODAY thread

I know a bloke who's never trained in his life, just a massive bloke who can pull at 220 deadlift like it's nothing.

[Tv] What are you watching at the moment?

Sense8 is an acquired taste for some, but I liked it enough to get through the season very fast.

    Pre-Workout Supplement Thread

See how you go. It's worth a try. I just went 2g because I would get 250 serves out of 500g worth. I've used mr-supps for beta alanine, creatine mono, caffiene, agmatine sulfate. Recommend L-Tyrosine from Bulk Nutrients, I sourced Citrulline malate from a mate. Could buy either way, it's up to...

    Pre-Workout Supplement Thread

Mr Supps - Website Mr Supps - Ebay Bulk Nutrients is probably some of the better flavourings you'll get tbh, I haven't tried elsewhere. In conjunction with Agmatine, there is no need to dose anywhere close to that and usually with the carbs around my workouts I swell up without anything...

things you do to stay focused in the gym?

Like modafinil, you can get it. I however do not condone it.

Used to make my own formula too, it's on the forum some where. Agmatine Sulphate & Citrulline Malate, as pump synergists. Caffeine, Amp Citrate or Caffeine, Hordiene stimulants. Beta Alanine and maybe Creatine Mono, L-Tyrosine. I'm pretty sure I'd worked out the perfect dosages too. Edit: Just...

things you do to stay focused in the gym?

These bad boys are the results of years of testing and are among the best sounding earphones I've come across. I have numerous yamaha, bose, audio technica, beats and sol republic $200+ pairs. But at a measly $9-25 you can grab a pair of these, that sound better than any earphone under $100-150...

    Routine Critique

I'd group them personally because with chest you'll only really have some anterior deltoid contraction which shouldn't over fatigue your shoulders. Keep close grip or add skullcrushers instead and take away one of the other exercises or alternate between them weekly, making sure you keep at...

I'm no expert, but I'll just tell you what I would do. Sorry for the impending long paragraph's but have a good read and I'm sure other members will chime in if need be. PULL (TUES) 1x5 Deadlift 3x5 Barbell Rows 3x12 Cable Rows 3x12 Lat Pulldowns 3x12 Rear Delt Fly (?) 3x10 DB Shrugs 3x10...

Melbourne Cup and VRC carnival tips

I put $6 on Penzance this morning seeing as the horse had often been trained about 10km from my house and we drive past it every morning on the way to school. Prince of Penzance, Terang prep and boy was I impressed, I mean if I'd put $100 on, I'd be $10,000 up now. But $6 gave be a comfy $606...

    First Aid

I've used mine a few times, I patrol beaches and was part of a CPR revival once plus a fair few cuts, stings, bruises, etc. Had a little old lady fall off a train and get a massive black eye, not being able to see. Also, spent time around Gippsland camping when a rotten banksia tree feel on a...

What is the stupidest thing you've seen a PT doing with their client in the gym?

I think trainers need a lot of experience either in the field working with clients or their own personal transformation/fitness journey before they can really be 'qualified' by more than just a certificate. I've seen some bad stuff, but some really awesome stuff too. Most of the time, the bad...

How often do you "de-load", or take time away from training?

Probably 'rest' a little too often. However, my lifestyle combined with my fragile nature leads me to tire and feel like shit very quickly, therefore rest is the only way to fix it. Hopefully, I'll be able to put in a few consistent months of training now school has finished.

What calf exercise are more beneficial ?

Don't forget that Tibialis Anterior if you have one of those raise machines that work those bad boys. Hill Sprints or using incline treadmill are the only other ways I can think of.

Calum Von Moger and Steve Cook train shoulders

I see clearly now, I must have been reading an old article about him, that's why I thought he was 22. Steroids or not, in my eyes that's an impressive physique.

22, lol. I see where you're coming from haha. Some of the techniques in this like half pronated lateral raises and behind the neck press goes against a lot of sports physiologists advice.

Calum Von Moger and Steve Cook train shoulders

Will put it on the watch list. I admire CVM, he has the height with the size and proportions that I'd one day love to have. Strong genetics though, I've seen him on the days when he wasn't on gear. Actually lives very close to my holiday house.
