    Creatine

I certainly agree, placebo is a wonderful thing! For the cost of creatine, even if it was mostly placebo, I'll still continue using it

    Portable chest fly machine

I don't understand how it would be portable...you want some kind of folding cable contraption? And then you're going to carry a weight stack or plates around with you? Whats wrong with free weights or bands? The only thing I've ever seen come close is a rack attachment like so...

    Creatine

How can you definitively say it doesn't work for you Sherk? There's that much research that says it does, I think it's the most widely researched supplement!...are you expecting too much from it? You actually don't even need that much of it, so maybe you're already getting enough in the average...

Use bands if you want to do it off a pole...but dumbbells are a better option IMO

    Nangs

"Rise in use"? They were pretty popular 20 years ago when I was in school, just history repeating. All drugs seem to go thru a cycle of popularity over time... never touched the things though

Recommended mats for a DIY lifting platform?

If you're doing Oly lifts, I'd stick to 1000mm wide on the platform. You can get 900mm racks but they're generally lighter gauge (not that I think the average user would break one at home). But weren't you planning on a plywood base and then build up on that? So even with a wider rack, it will...

Nope...only "problem" is when you get home and the house smells delicious! Most of them are on a timer of sorts, so they'll cook for however long and then drop the temp to just keep it warm. Can't say I've heard of any catching on fire and they don't burn the food as there's plenty of moisture...

Gravy steak or gravy beef is a tough cut. It's for slow cooking and all that fat will render down to keep it moist. I'll usually chunky dice it, brown it in a pan, throw in some veggies, a little flour to thicken the sauce as it cooks, tomato paste, red wine and a bit of water or beef stock to...

    100 Squats

I don't see it as a waste of time....If you're not conditioned to it then it will be challenging, no doubt. But I also don't think it would take long to be able to achieve it (well within a month like the "squat challenge" that you always see floating around) and once you have achieved it, doing...

Recommended mats for a DIY lifting platform?

Depends on the design and how heavy the rack is. If it's got pegs to store plates on it, it might not even need that. If it was lighter, I'd bolt it in to the garage concrete

Recommended mats for a DIY lifting platform?

I'd just get a piece of this (or similar) https://timberandbuildingsupplies.com.au/product/2400-x-1200-x-15mm-plywood/ Get them to cut it down to 2000x1000x15, then just put 2 1x1m mats on each side. Will give you a 3x2m work area. Sand and varnish... probably only cost you a couple of hundred...

Recommended mats for a DIY lifting platform?

Just buy a complete setup? From the forum sponsor, a touch over a grand with the Aussbb discount...then it's fully framed and won't move. 3mx2m and a lot thicker than you're planning on building too. https://www.flexequipment.com.au/armortech-v2-olympic-lifting-platform No idea what shipping...

The stuff at iHerb doesn't have it in it anymore, it's the new formula. Just a couple of types of caffeine...still, it's not a bad pre-workout and reasonably priced from there. iHerb also don't rort you on shipping which is always nice!
