What have you done to your bike today

Always tinkering with the bikes since I got them. Aligned all the brake pads/shoes, got the saddle angle just right, indexed every gear perfectly (even set the tension on the B screw). Coming from a car background, they're so easy to work on. Also upgraded my girlfriend's bike as she was...

    Training For 2.4km

Yeah that's what I tell everyone. Also, by the end of your run/walk/ride you've actually gotten to a destination.

    Worst exercises

Yep, I currently do most of that. Single leg seated curl, lighter load with a a double drop set, and glute ham raises (using the leg extension machine and a bosu ball). The seated curl is ok, and will work, I just don't find it as comfortable as the lying curl. And you certainly don't feel it...

    Worst exercises

I don't find that preachers work, either machine or barbell. I feel them in my elbows and front delts, and nothing in between. Like whitey said, I think it's to do with arm lever length. I went from using a lying hamstring curl at my old gym for 3 years to using a seated at my new gym, and it...

What are you or what did you train today?

Do you have bike trails you ride on, or just the road?

    Training For 2.4km

When's the last time you ran on a treadmill? It doesn't do any work for you.

    Training For 2.4km

I still stand by that the treadmill will prepare you for the outdoor running about 90%. A lot of the training is mental and feeling comfortable being uncomfortable. In theory the technique should be totally different when running on the ground, but I barely noticed a difference. For the experts...

    Training For 2.4km

Treadmill training is fine. I've used it when training for a 12km run a few times. Before starting the training I could barely run 10 minutes, after practising on the treadmill for 4-5 weeks, twice a week, I could do an hour. Did it carry over to road/outdoor running? Yes. It's not exactly the...

    Worst exercises

I find that any arm isolation machines a waste of time (excluding cables). May as well do body weight stuff and have the benefit of working other muscle groups as well.

    Cycling hates

An uncomfortable seat is usually due to the height and position instead of the actual seat.

    Cycling hates

The best way is to leave your bike out near your front door. Then you need to make an excuse to not ride it, instead of making an excuse of getting it out. Even if you're just using it for short 10 minute rides, do it.

    Bodybuilding Thread

How often does she plan on going a week? My girlfriend comes with me 1-2x a week. She's not really looking to turn it into anything other than getting a bit fitter and something to do a few nights a week after work. So based on this, I cut out all the fluff and only get her to do things that...

    What`s good about your gym

The new gym I go to is a 10 minute walk up the road. Perfect distance to warm up, cool down and increased my activity level.

    Cycling hates

Now that I cycle to work pretty much every day, and have the odd chat to other cyclists, they're just as insane as I thought. I only use proper bike lanes and dedicated bike paths to avoid getting in the way of cars. I swear cycling attracts people who just like to be dicks. They ride out in...

    Flickfessions

Finally back into watching movies. For one reason or another, been super busy the last few months. Got a big list to get through. Fatso https://en.wikipedia...atso_(2008_film) A Norwegian film following a socially awkward, porn-addicted virgin, Rino. He's secluded, yet in his comfort zone...

Gay Marriage, do you support it?

No, Spongebob is a tampon. - He's super absorbent. - He lives in a place called bikini bottom. - He lives near a girl named sandy cheeks. - He works in a place called the krusty krab. - He has run-ins with Squidward an anamorphic squid that looks like a penis. - He's best friends with a starfish.

Gay Marriage, do you support it?

Lol is that how you see it? The minority just want to be treated equally like everyone else. No special treatment. And what's wrong with them wanting what others have? It doesn't diminish what you or others already have. If you do, refer to the point I made about the meaning of marriage already...

Gay Marriage, do you support it?

Labels and name calling, I didn't expect anything more from you. It's not like you post anything else around here. Call me what you want, I'm just pro rights and less government getting involved in our lives. Whether it be marriage, taxes, legalising drugs, women's right to abortion; let adults...

Gay Marriage, do you support it?

"Hairy muscle bears", I don't know what that's gay code for, but sure, whatever you're into Gerry Dot. You're still missing the point. It doesn't matter what you think is "normal". It has no bearing on whether 2 consenting adults want to get married. They certainly don't need your approval...
