Hi All,

I´m new here. First post...

I´ll be travelling to Australia next year...I currently live in Europe.

I self prescribe TRT and I was wondering of the laws and implications of bringing into the country? If it is taken off me I dont want to be in a situation where I am left without my TRT.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Self prescribe? Are you a Dr or an Endo?

0ni is usually your Man for these things.

If it was prescribed by a doctor you would bring the script with you as proof and then you should be fine, otherwise chances are you won't be fine.

Some people are on oxys' 24/7 and fentanyl prescribed by docs for legit reasons and they need their meds 24/7 or they'll die from the pain their in so these people carry their meds around, steroids are no different. You just need the required paperwork/permits etc to pass the tests and you'll have no problems.

Thanks for the input everyone.

No I´m not a doctor but its just very time consuming and laborious getting prescribed TRT where I live. There are private clinics but they are very expensive.

As such, I had bloods done and T was very low. I then self administered and had bloods done a few more times to dial in the dose. I felt this was the best option for me at the time, but would like to see a specialist in the near future.

In the meantime, I need to think away around this travelling issue.

There’s nothing to think about.
You can’t bring self prescribed drugs into the country.
There is no other option.

Don’t travel or lay off the drugs for a few weeks.

Self prescribed :D

Surely you could secrete a vial of Test in your Bum.

No worries. It is time consuming and laborious, i completely understand what your saying. When i'm not blasting i do my own trt as well, its not only easier for me to do it this way but also cheaper and less time consuming as you have already mentioned.

You could always contact Australian Customs and ask them for their advice. You definitely are not the only person who is using medication for a legitimate reason. I'm fairly certain customs will tell you that you need a script or referral etc from a doctor or something along those lines anyway.

Next best option is to source gear here once you arrive, or better yet sort it out prior to getting here so its ready for you when you arrive here.

Well there is lots to think about, as I´m definitely going travelling and you cant just lay off TRT for a bit. Especially since I plan on being in Australia for quite some time and bouncing around the world for a bit.

Thanks mate, good advice. Yeah I´m sure Australian customs will say that a prescription is required. The other two options you suggested sound sensible, but I dont want to take any risks of not being able to source it or getting bunk test, as its for my TRT.

No worries mate! Yes they will say that, i am 99.99% sure as well:)

Good luck with whatever scenario you choose.

Among the eight thousand things that annoy me is people self prescribing drugs and using the commonly used medical term to justify it even though there is a very good chance that the dosage is well in excess of what is required to fulfill the clinical diagnosis and prescribed amount.

No one who legitimately needs TRT self medicates and the R part doesn't mean "whatever cruise/blast cycle I decided I need from extensive research on the body building sites couple with peer reviewed advice from the guy who sold me liver tablets in the carpark of the hungry jacks"
