Hi Folks
I came across this on the net yesterday - something I'd never heard of before:
http://www.doctoroz.com/blog/harry-fisch-md/hidden-testosterone-killer
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2013625/How-form-varicose-veins-make-men-depressed-infertile.html
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/06/110616142726.htm
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23026894
Apparently, having a varicocele (a sort of varicose vein in your scrotum) can lower you testosterone production, because the mass of blood in it can heat your ball up more than it should be.
A varicocoele can be fixed fairly easily, so various urologists' web-sites say, and then the T production might increase.
1/10 or 1/5 (depending what you read) of blokes have a varicocoele. I've known that I've had one since the age of 11. It was checked out then, and I got it looked at again in my early thirties - both times told nothing to worry about. I've never had my test levels measured - nor thought about it much ...
Have any of yous heard about this? Any ideas, opinions, etc?
