What are healthy T-levels? (chart)

Just a q

What are healthy T-levels in men?

A friend of mine scored under 10, (I think the USA and AU scoring system differs?) and had to go on 3 x shots of Stanazlol over 6 weeks.

I can't find a chart on the net about it and you lot seem to know your shit.

Thanks in advance.

They gave him 6 weeks of winstrol for low test?
Dude needs to get a new endo. 5000ui of hcg once a week for 2 weeks will get him going again
10 could mean anything
A male wants their t-levels at least 600ng/dl at the minimum

better get tested again myself.

first test's (two seperate tests over 2 weeks).
were @ 9nmol.

that was before weight training...
about a year ago, two tests again, 18nmol. similar again about 6 months ago.
doc says its fine and within range?

It's healthy yes
Optimal for strength training? If it was people wouldn't take steroids
Push testosterone as high as possible

I think mine was 13 nmol/L last time I got it done, but that was over 10 years ago.

Time for another one.

You want your t-levels at around 700ng/dl or more realistically

Based on this Oni 600-700ng/dl seems to be the optimal level, at my last lot of blood tests mine was 17.5nmol/L which based on the conversion calculator above works out to roughly 500ng/dl, in your opinion are my levels something I should be concerned about/talk to my doctor about?

When I had a test earlier in the year mine came back at 10.3 nmol/L (the range was from 10 - 29). Even though it was low, as it was in the range specified the doctor said I was fine and would not look into it further.

Mine was for a range of 8.0 - 30.0 and my doc said the same thing because it was within the range, but based on what I have read on here and other places 500ng/dl seems on the lower side of things, but hey might not be after all these people are paid to be a doctor for a reason! :D

After doing my own research I thought it was still way to low but when I brought it up again I was fobbed off. I think most GP's are only good for colds and flu. lol

If you're within normal range why would the doc do anything.

Just like not everyone is 6 foot 3 + tall not everyone has sky high test levels.

mine are low too according to chart, but still benched 137.5kg at 50.

You are what you are, and unless diagnosed with abnormally low levels with visible signs, extra test is merely cheating and not necessary.

'The normal range for testosterone varies between 260 ng/DL and 1080 ng/DL. Some sources say the minimum is 300 and the maximum 1200, so anywhere between those parameters is considered to be ‘normal’ unless testosterone deficiency symptoms are presenting. Levels of 300 to 350 may still be too low for some men, but cases of low testosterone symptoms are unusual for men whose levels sit at around 400 to 500 ng/DL'.

to take my argument further, we could all lift bigger weights with testosterone supplementation.

But my belief now is what is the point, unless you badly need to win a sporting or bb event, or you just want to look a whole lot bigger.

Take Kaz, a female who is just as passionate about her lifting as most male powertlifters on this forum. she would shatter her bests with even moderate dosages of testosterone, but I am confident she would never get the same satisfaction as making small but consistent improvements by utilising what she was born with, as she is doing (me think).

Others may not give a damn.

But that is the choice we make. We can blame our mediocrity on low levels of hormones, which I doubt many of us forum members really have, or we can make the most of what we have got and just enjoy the journey.

to be fair to doctors, and I refer to GPs, they must have guidelines.

Blood levels are the parameter used; what do you want them to use as a guide- perhaps a picture of the classical man, hairy chest, little hair on legs, fairly wide shoulders, perhaps even a balding head (hey they could use me even with my low blood test count).

Let us keep the debate real. GPs will should only recommend supplementation is there are obvious signs. They should not cater to any healthy looking athlete that is worried about their bench press or muscle size.

It is bad enough they increasingly cater for useless old ****s that stopped exercising when they were 30 and quickly became old men.

I will qualify last paragraph: some people may have sound reasons for not being able to exercise.

But Bazza, the 22 year old IT guy on the Internets knows better than all the doctors and specialists.... Right?
