How Did Your Last Workout Go?

Like the title says lets hear about your last workout.
Not just numbers but thoughts and feelings during and after the workout.

Was okay. Felt heavy.
Squats up to x4@9rpe. Got to 131kg.
Bench up to the same. Got to 96kg
3 count pause bench up to x5@9. Got to 88.5kg.

The 3 count bench was a suprisingly difficult lift. Good to try something different.

Gravity was stronger than usual. Was my first real morning session. A brutal introduction.

Tim.

Did backs.. wasn't / haven't been feeling particularly strong lately tbh.

Might be time to mix things up again a bit... Maybe...

Deadlift 140 8 x 3

Bent over long bar row against wall 65 8 x 3

V-bar lat pull-down 75 10 x 3

Seated cable row 93 10 x 3

Weights haven't gone up in ages...

Legs session - was easy. Doing a light week this week testing DL max Saturday so taking it easy for a few days before hand.

Best workout in a while..
Upped the weight for a lot of the exercises and managed to get prescribed reps and sets out.
Bench still improving, albeit very slowly.
Squats feeling comfortable again.

Slept like shit last night though.

Roadtested Mike O'Hearn's power bodybuilding workouts on Saturday (Chest) and Sunday (Back). Basically heavy movement first (e.g. deadlifts 5 sets of 4 reps or 7 sets of 2 reps) followed by 2 more heavy movements but at a higher rep range (e.g. one db rows 5x10 reps and pulldowns 3x8 reps). It felt good trying something different - I figured that maybe a bit more strength work might lead to harder muscle?

Very good for me.. 5x5 flat bench was a real push, still moving up in weight, then 2 lots of drop sets. Hit some pushups and then weighted dips. Already sore!

OHP day: OHP 3/3/3+, got 6 reps out of the AMRAP set, close grip bench which was pretty tough, dips, assisted chinups, DB row, bb curls.

Tough to get through due to mental tiredness, felt better for doing it.
