Dirty Bulking- What's your take?

Fat does help the superheavy lifters but if you are in a weight class your better off if it's muscle.

Correct. If you're 83kg and 20% body fat, going down into the 77's may be a better weight class, since you'd be 10% body fat, holdin onto less luggage and applying the strength to weight ratio.
