When it comes to shoulders, we all agree that shoulder pressing is the way to go. But which do you find hits the shoulders most, seated shoulder press or standing shoulder press? do you prefer dumbbells or barbell? which allows you to use most weight?
There are a few of us who like the Olympic lifts, so I thought I would add a thread for such lifts, although you can do anything to get weight up from shoulders (military, push press, power jerk, or jerk).

Just wanting to get some opinions on an issue I'm having on ohp.
Currently I'm doing 3x11 ohp at 35kg. Rest is 2-2.5 minutes between sets.
The first 2 sets are always fine, no real issues with the last rep on the 2nd set requiring a little effort, yet on the third set I'm struggling by rep 4-6...

I find a big strict press much more impressive and a better judge of upper body strength than a big bench. Plus it gives you big wide shoulders.

I have been doing 3x5 for the military press for quite a while now, and I have been stuck at 37.5kg for a month! :mad:
I am fine with 35kg, can complete all sets, but with 37.5kg, I can't do more than ~3-4 with the latter two sets! It hasn't been improving at all!
