I'm looking for a little advice, I had a baby 3 weeks ago and I have about 15kilo'sto lose.while i was pregnant i didn't work out at al

So i am now wanting to lose some inches and fat. I know that muscle burns fat, so some sort of weight training is or will be in order. It's impossible to burn fat and gain muscle at the same time(from what i've read anyway), so should I just start with cardio and take up weights at a later date, or will it be more of a benefit to do them both, using a split routine?

i have a mostly clean diet, egg whites, grilled chicken, salad, yogurt, whole grain bread, oatmeal, some fruit and lots of vegetables, water, skim milk, coffee with a little cream

I'm also breastfeeding and I try to walk when it's not too hot

congrats on the new bundle of joy :)

When i had my baby last year, the most important advice that I given was, not to think of it as just having a baby, but to think of it as a major trauma to your body

Despite what the hollywoods actresses and the tabloids do and say ,your body needs time to recover

don't worry to much about picking up the weights just yet , just enjoy your time out with bubs while out Walking find some hills to push the pram up and feel the burn. Also do keep the weather in mind summer quite hot some early in the morning or later in the afternoon

i'm with essential , your body went through some major changes so don't try to push yourself too fast too soon. Before commencing any workouts you should first consult with your doctor and get their ok which is usuallly at your 6 week check up.
