I got prescribed testosterone cream today. Endo gave me the choice of injection or cream but went with cream, I wish I went with injections in hindsight as I've heard better things about them.

Anyway, my GP referred me to an endo because she said a GP isn't authorised to prescribe TRT. But now that a specialist has given it to me can my GP take over and start giving me repeats? I don't really want to travel 8 hours to Sydney every few months for another prescription.

Following this one with interest.

Don't know the answer to your question but have a few questions of my own if you don't mind skewing your post:

1. What were the criteria to get on TRT (i.e. multiple test, free test < minimum, etc)

2. Does the PBS cover the costs?

PBS isn't covering me because I didn't fall below the 6nmol range or whatever it is. But my criteria was basically that i had low free testosterone, high SHBG and had a lot of the symptoms of test deficiency. So the endo prescribed it. It wasn't easy as I'd seen an endo before and she was not helpful at all. And that was when I was actually below the 6nmol range to be covered by the PBS. My test is at 10nmol right now and the endo helped so it all depends on how good your doctor is. It's all luck unfortunately.

Not sure how to PM on this site but I can give you my endos name if you can figure out how to private message

Thankyou.

Wondering if you could go on cycle crash your test then get a script.
What was your estrogen reading?

For the pm I think if you click on my profile that should give you an option to message.
