i'm new to the site , well pretty much new to the whole fitness and training scene , i keep on seeing split mentioned eg: 3 day split

what is a split ?
 
its where you spilt your training according to the muscle group worked

for example
eg:

Monday: Biceps & Back
Wed: Chest & Triceps
Fri: Legs

that would be a 3-day split.
