    the amount of sets per week, the exercises and the average intensity (RM) were exactly the same between groups.

    You're taking the conclusion not from the source but from some guy that wrote a review for his website. Read the source material. It's the increase in training density that results in more hypertrophy.

    I wonder if it's a good way for older folks to stay conditioned, as long as volume isn't increased you shouldn't be causing too much additional harm.
