    He's a nice guy too. I remember when he first walked into a comp in Hawthorn. He was a bit awestruck because Steve Pritchard was competing that day. He turned up as a member the next comp and thrashed it. He has that typical Westside physique, fireplug with beard.

    Looking after his niece, putting himself in the shed so he can do so, cooking for the family. Definitely sounds like a very decent man.

    Reading his coach's comments reminds me of something my much-more experienced lifting friend said: "Sometimes a world-class coach is just an ordinary coach who had a world-class athlete walk in his door one day."
