Glute bridge or Hip thrust?

Never done either. Do you recommend either?
Why, why not?

waste of time.
dont do them.
it might feel like their contracting, but they’re not.

For complete glute contractions the resistance needs to be placed behind the knee.

not on top of your old fella, fella.
serious

I figure you have to train em cos I’m smarter than the average bear.
but reps or weight, which exercises hit them best?

Calves are like any muscle and respond to different rep ranges and sets, you’ve just got to find what suits you.

it might seem the the calves can bear a lot of weight but it is just the leverage advantage what you must be careful of is not over doing it.
but usually size can be built with minimal sets and reps with basic exercises.
one thing people forget about calves is that you can’t change the shape and muscle belly length like everything that’s dictated by genetics

yeah, very genetically dependent, them kunce.
look at the pro cyclists, they all put pretty much the same amount of miles on the legs and subject them to roughly the same amount of work in a an average season, yet some cyclists have great calves and others fuk all.
genetics fuken

What's your opinion of Back Extentions (Hyper Extentions) Goo? 'S.D. Ls certainly seem superior. I think having the Achilles etc anchored whilst bending at the Waist may not be the best long term? It's an unnatural movement.

Genetics is not a predictable thing. A lot depends on the structure of the body
but all athletes train in different ways and according to different programs

On its own (for a low back exercise) not ideal as the loading throughout the ROM is not good, as you raise the load is too fast.

but using it as an adjunct to squatting and deadlifts from time to time is a good practice the movement loads the low back at full extension whereas the squat and dead lift do not.
