The correct name is a Hex Bar. You don't call a Barbell a Pec Bar, caused its used for other muscle groups other than the pecs. Same goes for the Hex Bar, its used for other muscle groups other than the traps.
 
It's originally called the trap bar. Think it's trade marked so now they have to call others the hex bar.
 
My local gym supplier has two sizes in trap bars... i can deadlift on both but only row on the bigger one... i assume bigger is better? It is massive tho... duno where i will put it
 
I asked the gym owner if he had a Hex Bar in the gym and said no i only have a Trap Bar, i said well thats just not good enough mate. I then left the gym in absolute disgrace and found another gym only to be told they too didn't have a Hex Bar, they only had a Trap Bar.

Some people just don't get it do they, i feel sorry for them.
