"Andrew Taylor eats nothing but potatoes for a year to cure his food addiction

THIS year, Andrew Taylor ate nothing but potatoes. It was an extreme diet that at first was criticised. Some said it was an unhealthy approach to weight loss, others believed there was no way he’d last 12 months, but almost one year on, he has proved you can survive on nothing but potatoes.

He vowed on January 1 he would touch nothing but the starchy vegetable and Mr Taylor has lost more than 50kg and says he is a completely changed man. “I was clinically depressed last year and eating potatoes has really helped me with that,” he told news.com.au. “I am not taking any antidepressants and I feel like I’m completely over that and I’m sleeping better too.

Not to state the obvious but, His weight loss has made him feel bdtter not the fucken potatoes
Now he just looks like a smaller version of his fat self
Also, if he shaved he'd probably lose another coupla kilos
 
that is propah, he has gone from really fat to slightly fat, pretty good result for an extreme diet that has probably left his body with other deficiencies ....tosser.
 
The guy lost 50kg in a year by eating one food.

That shows commitment that many could take a lesson from.

But he could have lost that 50kg by eating many foods, and possibly looked better and be more healthy. I dont get why there was a need to do it by just eating potatoes ? Other than to self promote ?

Focus???

When you focus on ONE thing, it makes it a lot easier, plus you probably aren't going to binge eat. Plus, I suspect he lost the taste for a lot of other Foods a long time ago, allowing him to stay on the Cut longer.
 
[MENTION=12409]L.P.S.[/MENTION] you could be right, I say fair play to him for losing weight and sticking to it but its still weird.... anyway I out, I need to go eat some spuds.

50g fat
38g fibre

Rough numbers for 3kg of spuds, yeah its light on protein for a body builder but it doesnt look like old mate lifted anyway and those numbers are fine for a normal person.

His reasoning was to break an addiction to food, I'd say he has achieved that.

I'm not suggesting its a good idea but it worked for him so fuck it, what I want to see is old mate in 5 years time.
