i think, although i don't know, that most people would struggle with power clean first as this lift itself demands considerable skill. most who do presses may not do that many power cleans.

The issue I find is after a power clean I can't get as tight overall as when I just get the bar from the rack. That's enough to lose a few Kgs from the max.
 
yes, i would imagine that is a common experience. i am the same, off a rack you can get set precisely in the way you want to.

the only reason why a power clean may only cost me around 2 kg is that i can very easily power clean the weight i am seeking to press.
 
Bloody pulled a rotator OHPing 8 weeks ago. Was getting lazy and starting throwing or punching the lockouts. Noticed the exact moment of trauma
