Tarasoft, begin by focusing on good food. By which I mean, most of your shopping should be from the butcher, fishmonger or greengrocer. Less from the packeted sections of the supermarket.

Once you are eating mostly good food (mostly - you're a person, not a monk) then you look to your lifting. If you're feeling good and getting stronger, all good. If you start tanking out or your lifts get stuck, then you probably need more of that good food.

At some point it may become physically hard to get enough good food into you. And that's where this powdered stuff comes in: a normal-sized steak may have as much protein as a couple of scoops of powder in water, but it's a lot easier to consume the shake. Of course the steak has other good stuff in it, too, which is why I say try to eat the good food first before messing with other stuff.

Eat food simply because it tastes better. Fuck if you need more calories eat of the higher calorie foods. Nuts, eggs, fatty meat ect.

    Oats 50g
    Peanut Butter 2 table spoon
    Fullcream Milk 600ml
    Whole Banana
    Icecream 1/2 cup
    Protein Powder 2 scoops

    = 1134 calories

Tastes delicious in a smoothie, far denser than store bought mass gainers, more calories, more protein, more carbs, more fats.
You can manipulate to suit your macro nutrients. Add raw egg for extra calories!
