yes, it would be interesting to know what clean and jerk record would be if there was o drug testing. alexeev lifted 256kg in 1976, and they rarely do better now.
I'd wish they'd stop claiming 'world records' for these sorts of things. Impressive feats of strength, but it takes away from those who do it unassisted.

Its a problem. What do you count? Where anything goes (Eddie Hall)? Where you deadlift in a powerlifting comp but only do the deadlift (Bennie Magnusson)? Where you deadlift as part as a proper powerlifting comp (Ed Coen)? Or you deadlift without a suit and get drug tested after (Brad Gillingham)?
I guess its not a lot different from saying your protein powder is "100% pure" or that gym lifts count.
Which is why it should be prefixed as a strongman deadlift. I enjoy watching strongman, but using straps and hitching is not the same as a powerlifting deadlift.
