The three ways your supposed to do is cold water, in the fridge or the microwave.

Can't leave it on the sink/bench as the cat will eat it. And most days it's too warm at room temperature to leave it out.

So I transfer it from the freezer to the fridge in the morning. It's usually 3/4 way defrosted by the time I get home. So I just take it out and leave it on the bench until I'm ready to cook.

Express method: Just chuck that packaged meat into a vat of warm water, come back half hr later and its doooonnneeee.
