    Default 2015 year end goals.

Figured this would be a good time for anyone interested to post their current lifts and what their year end goals are. Maybe help to get focused and dialed in on making some gains in these last 3 months. I figured we can update as any of them hit our goals or get close.

will do a bench only contest this year whilst I sort out some back issues that are limiting my back squat.

I did 177.5kg bouncy touch and go a few weeks ago and easily do t & g triples on 160 now. Will therefore look at about 160-165 for my first competition in nearly 20 years. Will weigh about 100 or so. If I can triple 170 t & g then the competition after that might see a 170.

Depending on travel commitments, other disruptions and fixing my back squat, a 2016 three lift comp should be possible for a low 600's total which is A grade. As long as the squat has a 2 in front of it everything else should get me there. If only we could front squat instead. I think 180 bench might happen in 2016. I'm 44 but grading scale doesn't care about age divisions so not sure if there is any point lifting in M1 rather than open.
Without me my barbell is nothing.

incorrectamundo about age not affecting grading,in actual fact a master lifter only has to "have lifted".you have some great lifters in Australia who deliberately choose to go m1 m2 etc.

190kg deadlift is about the only thing I want. Most of my other training has been a little derailed due to injuries.
That and a successful cut finishing towards the end of December.

There is no Masters grading scale in any fed. It's male/female raw/equipped. If I total 600 raw at 105 it's an A grade on the PA scale no matter how young or old I am. For bench-only I think it's 160 for an A grade @ 105 in raw.

strength aims out for rest of year as getting fit for aths takes a lot of effort.

Would like to reach 2.60m in standing long jump by end of year. power is bottom line, albeit I have very little these days.
I can't wait for Kevin Aitken to join World Powerlifting.

there is so.Australia has no minimum total for a master in order to qualify for events such as the commonwealths or asia/oceanias however its probably not in your best interests to get up there with a 300 total,i think common sense would prevail, you would at least need to be competitive in your category.
I know NZ has a fixed total but its real easy to qualify however that does not mean you will be picked, thats up to the discretion of the selectors. However in terms of gaining team points,i think filling up slots would obviously be to the teams advantage.
