Carrying that little black book around in the gym or just grabbing that weight, seeing what feels right, and completing the set.

Tried to record, started a log and everything, but too much of a chore and required too many brain cells.
Go by memory rather than feel.

My memory is terrible so I record for no other reason then to see what I lifted last workout and hopefully either increase a rep or increase weight for the next workout.

I write down (in Notepad) my current training, then go off memory when in the gym. I'll reassess every 4-5 weeks and see where I can improve.

Notebook and pen. Old school.

I'm a touchy feely kind of guy.
But I can remember what I lifted last week for most lifts

whiteboard for quick reference and a notepad, if i can find it under the empty beer bottles, tools and broken things that need fixing.

I can't use bloody pen and paper too much sweat everywhere, smudge everything.
Just record on my phone at the end of each exercise, I don't look at it for anything else during workouts.
