There are always going to be some PED users in PA who may never be busted. On the day of the comp however most of the lifters would not have anything to worry about if tested. Doesn't prove that they haven't used out of comp but on the balance of probabilities, any given PA lifter is less likely to return a positive test or have even used PED than a lifter in the other Feds.

cant understand why anyone would bother with the PED to start with. The best Aussie lifters juiced or not juiced are hardly world class and what's the prize anyway? It's Powerlifting for fucks sake. The "sport" for fat, slow retards who aren't skilled at anything and if they were, the training style of powerlifting will destroy any athletic capability they once had. I'm a paid up PA member.

whoa man heavy.Disagree about the best Aussie lifters not being world class. And my opinion being worth not much i dont think juice is common nor used by many top lifters here.Theres some factors involved that make me say that.Bear in mind i live in a small town and despite being courteous to the jacked roiders when i do make the odd appearance at the gym,i steer clear in order not to fall into temptation.Plus my lifts suck.

Not sure how others can train consistently next to guys who use without wanting to have a try.lol.must be hard.

2014, 127 powerlifters tested positive around world, 4.6% of all tests.

I assume many were IPF given it is the main testing organisation.

so there, bushman, you have an answer.

alright.i guess case closed then.courts adjourned.see you next year.if u have been taking the good stuff and want to out yourself as its naughty. having a chemical advantage is wrong as the real nattys just eat sleep and say their prayers ,please leave your name here.

I find juicing for PL to be pointless, if you're doing it in the IPF then you're fucking pathetic, and the only person you're really cheating is yourself. I guess if you were in an untested fed you'd be silly not to if you wanted to be competitive.

FWIW yrreg; I believe PA lifters who are seeming a bit dodgy are generally asked to leave.

The strongest guys in this town are all natty.
spartacus; did you break it down by actual anabolic substances, or does that include those who got caught out by unlisted ingredients in pre workouts and the like?

Vonfram can you pls stop bullying those of us who are fat and unathletic ta.

its not pointless Smash. Some people love winning.Probably too much. Not that im saying that its endemic in PA i have no proof of that. But its clearly used overseas. And their are people with certain characteristics that would make them susceptible.

Ive chatted briefly to some real good lifters.I can almost tell straight away that they are clean.Ive had chats with weaker lifters that have left me with a sense of hmmm? i wonder why.however its probably rude to assume based on a brief conversation.it would take longer than that to make up someones mind.and even thats not really proof.

its almost like a checklist isnt it.but 2+2 doesnt equal 5.

This is just my opinion of getting on the gear in powerlifting regardless of fed.

There is no money in powerlifting. So essentially you are risking your health and getting in trouble with the law to win a sport that most people have never heard of and that if the elite sporting talent in the country actually competed in you wouldn't be in the top 100 anyway.

those AFL players look like they couldnt squat 200 kgs.let alone 350.how do you know im not an elite 40+ yr old athlete Baz?lol common theme of your posts to denigrate powerlifting.

I dont train nearly as hard as i should compared to others..yet from what i see of elite PA powerlifters..they train professionally. Now im not talking down how hard it is to be at the top of AFL.id guess its pretty hard.Lots of running and skill work, but ive seen how they train locally..compounds not even once. Its all chest and arms.Squatting and deadlifting is hard.

I hate to theorise without any shred of evidence but man i wouldnt fancy my chances if i havent done any real weight training and running straight into a guy who regularly squats over 200 kgs.

Seems to me its an excuse to get out and run around, socialise, shag hotties and get on the piss.now nothing wrong with that man if thats your thing..its not mine, however i think you underestimate how hard it is to compete in powerlifting.should give it a go.

It's being realistic buddy. If you don't think a heap of the NRL and AFL players are better athletes with greater potential at PL than what's in powerlifting you are kidding yourself.

If people grew up powerlifting rather than the footy codes things would be heaps different.

Part of the attraction to powerlifting is that it's not that competitive compared to other sports and relatively easy to get near the top.

If its easier how come you havent?
Realistically im only a little guy..im 5 7 and weighed a whopping 70 odd kgs before i started lifting.Im too small to have made a dent in NRL or Rugby.Incidentally i dont think ARL is as tough as those two sports.
However in terms of pure strength..Baz..how strong are guys who play league rugby or ARL?Iif u can name 1 rugby or league back under 90 kgs who can squat 200+ kgs?

actually the strongest powerlifter in Australia was not a great NRL player.

How can you compare powerlifters to top footballers Gerry? You obviously do not know much about sport.

I haven't, one, probably because I'm not good enough and two because I don't have an interest in it currently.

AFL, NRL and rugby are all tough sports for different reasons. People that try and say one is tougher than the others are idiots. Just like the people that say NFL is weak because they wear pads.

None of the football codes are pure strength so they don't train for pure strength. Pretty simple, but the footy codes suck up the best athletes in Aus because that's what everyone plays when they are young. A lot of these guys if they trained for pure strength they would excel.

Hey if people love PL I'm not trying to shit on them but it's just the reality of the situation the best athletes in the country are not fighting it out in PL.

Same goes for PL in the U.S. All the big strong guys play NFL.
